Carolina Actors Studio Theatre immerses audiences in culturally diverse and creative theatre experiences that celebrate, challenge and reflect the contemporary world. We are a nonprofit performing arts organization that extends the boundaries of stage and set into the lobby and beyond. Our productions take audiences on a journey, provoking thoughts and asking questions along the way.
As a volunteer-driven organization, CAST values and fosters the education and development of performers and staff in all aspects of stagecraft. From seasoned professionals to up-and-comers, our performers and volunteers strive to create richly layered, artful experiences that allow audiences to see things differently within themselves and in the world at large. This shared passion is what makes us a family.
CAST is frequently recognized for excellence. In 2012, CAST was named “Theatre Company of the Year” by the Metrolina Theatre Association and “Best Theatre Company” by Creative Loafing.
CAST is committed to ensuring everyone in our audience, including those with disabilities, are able to enjoy our performances. Whenever possible, we will provide accommodations to ensure the CAST experience is accessible to all. Please notify us when making reservations of any special needs.
The CAST facility is wheelchair accessible. Individuals in wheelchairs or assistive walking devices can be seated in designated accessible areas. Scripts are available at the box office for the hearing impaired, and we are able to provide large print materials for those with visual disabilities.
We are glad to discuss other arrangements to ensure everyone is able to enjoy the theatre. Please contact us for more information or to make specific arrangements for your visit to CAST.
